Complicit.wiki is a community of individually approved and vetted contributors.

Joining complicit.wiki means that you have read and agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

How do I request an account to become a contributor?

There are a few ways:

When requesting an account, please include:

  • Your desired username for your complicit.wiki account
  • Links to at least two pre-election tweets or social media posts that show that you're not new to the dangers post by the chaos and norm-breaking of Trumpism
  * This is important. WE WILL NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT FOR YOU WITHOUT PROOF OF YOUR PAST OPPOSITION TO TRUMPISM.

"Wait! I never posted about Trump on social media... can I still join?"

We're open to making exceptions to this policy where warranted, so E-mail complicit.wiki@gmail.com with a bit about why you'd make a great member of the community. Eventually complicit.wiki will be open to anyone who wants to contribute, but not until we have more active moderators helping to manage the community.

Other Roles

We're looking for hardworking volunteers ready to take on a more formal role in building a lasting record of accountability for the Trump era.

Community Organizers

Complicit.wiki will never realize its mission without a growing base of empowered contributors, and we need dedicated community organizers to help make that happen.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment and vetting of new contributors
  • Account creation and helping build out training materials for new contributors: Setting new members up for success
  • Ensuring that the community really is a community: Welcoming new users, leading conversations, calling out great contributions and milestones as complicit.wiki grows

Content curators / moderators

While all users can edit the wiki to ensure the content abides by our guidelines, we're looking for people to take a more formal responsibility for:

  • Clarifying and expanding our editorial guidelines as appropriate.
  • Helping build out the category trees, i.e: Topics that are used to group events or people.

Experience in journalism or as an active wikipedia contributor is a big plus!

Engineering

Interested in helping keep complicit.wiki up and running, or helping to build out additional features and polish up the forms to ensure a smoother process for contributors?

We want to hear from you! Coding experience or experience with advanced Mediawiki topics is required (Templates, Cargo, SMW, etc).

Other Roles

Interested in volunteering but we didn't list the role that matches your skillset? Please get in touch!
